Respect as Core

The school’s community deeply values respect – respect for teachers, parents, friends, nature and other things.

Trust-building Activities

Children put away toys and have meals together with their peers in preschool, building a strong foundation of trust.

Honing Innate Abilities

Storytelling, rhyming, and singing in preschool help toddlers form sentences as they imitate new sounds and words.

For parents who want value, this TTDI preschool tops the list

The children’s house TTDI preschool officially opened in May 2007 to meet the needs of a larger community in this expanding suburb. The programmes at The children’s house TTDI include Montessori Playgroup for toddlers (19 months to 2.5 years old) and Montessori Junior for Nursery and Preparatory (2.6 to 6 years old).

The preschool has a half-day programme which runs from 9 am to 1 pm. The beautiful red and white preschool building has been specially designed to meet the needs of your little one. Everything in the centre has been scaled down to the child’s dimensions.

Each programme focuses on preparing the child for the next level. The low teacher: child ratio ensures optimal learning. At the core of every activity is respect – respect for the teacher, respect for each other and respect for the materials.

The close community at TTDI ensures that your child has the freedom to move, socialise, make friends and develops social skills, language and speech. In the TTDI community, everyone is a part of the bigger family and parents and teachers are closely involved in helping the child realise their full potential.

We trust that we are doing our part to nurture the young lives at the TTDI preschool in a way that they will always want to give back to the community that has always been so supportive.

Toddlers are active, inquisitive and curious in nature. And, to capture their innate abilities, we communicate and interact through storytelling, rhyming, singing, and listening games at the preschool. Their desire to imitate results in the absorption of new sounds and words which soon expands to form sentences.

Trust is built as toddlers participate in routine activities along with their friends, like putting away their little toys having meals together in the preschool. Practical skills activities like spooning transferring and pouring help to develop gross motor skills and improves concentration.

Engaging in repetitive activities until they succeed leads to a sense of happiness and accomplishment and creates a motivated toddler. The nursery environment at the TTDI preschool has a warm, friendly and secure environment where children are encouraged to find answers to their questions.

Polite language and courteous behaviour are an integral part of daily lessons at the preschool which eventually helps children to communicate well and handle their emotions. At the preschool, children are encouraged to enhance their language skills by discussing stories and enjoying reading and writing. The creative equipment for number work are designed to help them absorb mathematical concepts.

The activities at the preparatory level are structured in a way that develops the cognitive skills of the child and prepares them for the formal school. We lay emphasis on grace and courtesy where children to respect each other, practice manners, and resolve conflicts. Teachers give lessons in groups or individually. This is done to understand and discover more about each child, their learning and development.

We encourage the children to develop creative thinking, problem-solving, mathematical and language skills at the best. The activities at the TTDI preschool provide an opportunity to the children to discover their interest, explore, learn and excel, thereby developing confidence, self-esteem and independence.

What Parents Say

  • We would like to commend Aunties Zandra and Sabrina in particular for consistently delivering high quality sessions that engage the children – the effort in lesson preparation, setting up special interesting filters, making finger puppets etc., are noticed and appreciated. We appreciate all the hard work being put in to make the best of the situation. Please keep it up and we wish all of you best of luck as we navigate the new challenges posed by the Covid-19 pandemic.

  • “Ryan loves The children’s house. He has developed into this fearless, sweet, polite, warm and gentle boy, all thanks to the good education and love from his aunties and friends.”

  • “When my daughter, at two and a half turned to me to utter her first sentence in English, then she spoke French to her father and to my mother’s helper in Malay, I understood why Dr. Maria Montessori described the child’s mind as magical!”

  • “We will never forget the day we brought Chloe to your school for a visit. We asked her if she liked the school in all its bright red and white tones and she said yes without hesitation. She refused to leave when it was time to go after being given some time to play with the other children.”

  • “My involvement with The children’s house began 28 years ago when I was looking for a preschool for my daughter. I searched high and low for the one that fulfilled my checklist – quality education, a clean environment and dedicated, friendly staff. I visited 8 preschools, but none matched my expectations. Finally, I stumbled upon a quaint, red and white preschool along Jalan Ampang called The children’s house, which was also recommended by a friend. It was one of the best accidental finds of my life.”
