This preschool in Ampang is where kids go to learn while having fun
Our school was first established at Jalan Damai in 1990. Then it moved to its new premises on Jalan Ampang Hilir in 1995. Built on a one-acre piece of land, this colonial heritage building is one of the larger The children’s house schools with a capacity of more than 250 children. Throughout its 26 years, the school has touched the lives of children from more than 50 countries.
The impact of The children’s house Ampang can be felt through the feedback it has gotten in the two and a half decades it has been around. Many of the ‘graduated’ children come back with children of their own or send their best wishes to the school on anniversaries, always with fond memories of fun times and the solid educational foundations built.
Standing elegantly among the international community of Kuala Lumpur, the colonial building and its beautiful lawns are a delight. The environment in the preschool is designed to be spacious and well-lit, with a neat arrangement of Montessori learning materials, charts and paintings in classrooms.
The creative playground sets in the preschool lawn are designed to give the children the opportunity for great adventure in outdoor play. The children at the kindergarten simply love their fun times in and out of the school, with roleplaying and creative activities that make their learning experience fruitful. This enables them to understand each child better and help them realise their full potential.
As the first preschool in Malaysia to apply the Montessori method three decades ago, The children’s house has become one of the undisputed leaders of early childhood education in the country. It offers a non-competitive, nurturing and harmonious environment to support the physical, social, emotional and cognitive needs of the child and inculcate a love for lifelong learning.
Preschool programmes for each age group are planned to prepare the child for the next level. The low teacher-child ratio ensures that there is optimal learning and everything is designed in a way that it is child-friendly and child-sized.
