Nothing like starting your preschool years at The children’s house
The children’s house is one of the oldest preschools in the country that has been making a quiet but steady difference in the lives of young children since 1986. Our first school started in a quiet, leafy part of Damansara Heights with just five children. Through the years, the children have come and gone and they have continued to enjoy learning and growing in a secure, safe and loving environment. Located next door to our first preschool, The children’s house Batai, Damansara Heights was established in September 2000, to meet an overwhelming demand for quality toddler care; this was also where we launched the pre-tots programme. The preschool has a cosy and fun front and back garden enjoyed by the little ones.
From humble beginnings, our first school, started in a quiet, leafy part of Damansara Heights with five children. Through the years, our children continue to enjoy learning in a loving and enriching environment.
Away from the hustle and bustle of the cities and deeply embedded in the core values of the community, the environment of the centre is also conducive for the development of language skills of your child. Parents and teachers are closely involved in the process, leading to the wholesome development of the child. “The development of language is part of the development of the personality, for words are the natural means of expressing thoughts and establishing understanding between people,” says Dr Maria Montessori.

The Montessori method for early years
The Montessori method of teaching believes that children are endowed with the capacity to learn and absorb information from the world around them. The self-correcting feature of the didactic materials developed by Dr Maria Montessori ensures that each child is able to learn at their own pace while fostering a sense of independence in them.
Instead of binding your child in a rigorous curriculum, every preschool in The children’s house has a carefully prepared environment that meets the individual needs of your child, encouraging them to find answers to their questions, discover their natural inclinations and develop their potential to the fullest.
Your child has a opportunity to learn from a variety of materials which includes home-like materials like jugs, spoons, ladle, trays; sensory materials, language materials and number work materials. Every activity is designed to promote the social, emotional, cognitive and physical abilities of your child.
Nature is a very important part of the Montessori curriculum and every preschool at The children’s house is dedicated to providing the best possible experience for your child. The didactic materials are combined with nature walks and talks, cultural activities and projects to provide a perfect balance of academic and play-based curriculum to your child.
Celebrate every step of your child’s learning process with The children’s house at Batai, Damansara Heights. The non-competitive, nature-inspired, stimulating and harmonious environment ensures that your child has the freedom to move, socialise and develop an active learning style, which fosters independence and builds self-esteem and confidence in the child.
