Ara Damansara’s award-winning programmes
Opened in November 2013, Oasis Square Ara Damansara is our first school within a complex situated in a new bustling township. It is also the first amongst our schools to introduce an award-winning infant programme for infants as young as three months of age. All the facilities including an indoor playground were thoughtfully planned within this 14,000 square feet space.
The rooms in the kindergarten are spacious, well-lit and neatly arranged with engaging learning materials. The indoor playground ensures that the children can enjoy a weather-proof playtime at any time of the year.
Considering the environment as an important element for the child’s growth and development, the classrooms our preschool are carefully planned to avoid overcrowding. The low teacher-child ratio ensures optimal learning. Everything in the kindergarten is scaled down to make it child-sized and child-friendly.
The children’s house Ara Damansara is not only a kindergarten but also a daycare for your tiny tots. The operational hours of the preschool from 8am to 6pm provides a lot of flexibility to parents who need to tweak their routine. The full-day programme is also a great benefit for the working parent who now have a child care they can completely trust.
The programmes available at The children’s house Ara Damansara include Montessori Playgroup for infants, pre-toddlers, and toddlers (3 months to 2.5 years old) and Montessori Junior for nursery and preparatory (2.6 to 6 years old). Each programme is Montessori focuses on preparing the child for the next level.
The preschool programme for infants and pre-toddlers is holistic in nature and aims to focus on optimum periods of learning which are a characteristic of development in the first three years of the child. The environment at the childcare is specially designed to support, respect and respond to the sensorial development of the baby.
Nursery in Ara Damansara for parents looking for a holistic curriculum
The holistic curriculum focuses on the development of the infant’s physical, perceptual, cognitive, language, sensory-motor, social-emotional skills.
Toddlers are active, inquisitive and curious in nature. And, to capture their innate abilities, we communicate and interact through storytelling, rhyming, singing, and listening games at the kindergarten. Their desire to imitate results in the absorption of new sounds and words which soon expands to form sentences.
Trust is built as toddlers participate in routine activities along with their friends, like putting away their little toys having meals together in the preschool. Practical skills activities like spooning transferring and pouring help to develop gross motor skills and improves concentration.
The nursery environment at the preschool is warm, friendly and secure and the curriculum focuses on refining the physical movement, cognitive abilities, language skills, mathematical skills, taking care of self, taking care of the environment and practising politeness and courtesy.
The activities at the preparatory level are structured in a way that helps to develop the cognitive skills of the child and prepares them for the formal school. We lay emphasis on grace and courtesy where children learn to respect each other, practice manners, and resolve conflicts.
Children are encouraged to become adept at reading and writing, develop creative thinking and problem-solving skills. Every activity at the preschool provides an opportunity to the children to discover their interest, explore, learn and excel, thereby developing confidence, self-esteem and independence.
We have plenty of early childhood education experience
With more than 30 years of experience in early childhood education and success stories of children all across Malaysia, The children’s house has gained trust and recognition of both Malaysian and expatriate parents. From humble beginnings in a quiet and leafy part of Damansara heights to preschools at twelve locations in the Klang Valley, The children’s house continues to adhere to the Montessori method of education developed by Dr Maria Montessori.
Even after 100 years of its creation, the Montessori curriculum is still relevant and well-acclaimed, making it one of the most popular approaches to early childhood education all across the world. It offers a nurturing, non-competitive and harmonious environment to promote the physical, emotional, social and cognitive abilities of the child and above all, inculcate a lifelong love of learning.
At The children’s house Ara Damansara we enjoy giving your children the opportunity to be inquisitive and independent, as they learn how to be lifelong learners.
