It all started with a leap of faith.
Aunty Nan, our founder, was at a crossroads in her unfulfilling corporate career. She was introduced to the Montessori philosophy and education. What began as a search for a deeper meaning soon transformed her life and positively reshaped early childhood education in Malaysia.
In 1986, Aunty Nan opened the doors to The children’s house Montessori in a peaceful, leafy corner of Damansara Heights. She welcomed five children from Malaysia, France, Sweden, Denmark, and England with a small but passionate team comprising a trainee teacher, an administrator, the family cook, and her 4-year-old son. This humble beginning marked the start of something extraordinary.
Over the years, The children’s house Montessori grew alongside more than 50,000 children worldwide. As the first complete and comprehensive Montessori preschool in Malaysia, the name soon became a leader in early childhood education, gaining the trust of both local and expatriate parents.
With over 30 years of proven success, we’re proud to be known as the Montessori preschool in Malaysia that nurtures compassionate, well-balanced children who are confident, independent, socially adaptable, and above all, lifelong learners.
In 2010, The children’s house Montessori joined the Busy Bees Asia group, a global leader in quality early education. Today, our iconic red and white schoolhouses span twelve locations in the Klang Valley, where we continue to follow the timeless approach created by Dr Maria Montessori, ensuring that each child’s educational journey is as enriching as it is transformative.
“The best possible start in life.”
