The centre of choice for parents of preschoolers in Mont Kiara
The children’s house flagship branch opened its doors in June 2016. Situated in the heart of the unique township of Mont Kiara, our spacious 33,000sq.ft. campus is dedicated to providing young children with dynamic and state of the art learning spaces, specially designed to encourage stimulation and refinement of the five senses.
The indoor environment in the preschool is spacious, well-lit and neatly arranged with Montessori learning materials and apparatus. The outdoor play area has creative playsets and other playground equipment which keep the children engaged as they enjoy the adventure and fun with their friends.
The programmes at The children’s house Mont Kiara include Montessori for toddlers (18 months to 2.5 years old) and Montessori Junior for Nursery and Preparatory (2.6 to 6 years old). The daycare at the preschool has a safe, loving and secure environment for the children. The operational hours of the preschool from 8am to 6pm provides a lot of flexibility to the parents who need to tweak their schedule.
The full-day programme is also a great benefit to working parents who have a childcare they can completely trust. Situated in Mont Kiara, this preschool is a big hit with expatriate parents who want a daycare close to where they live. As such, parents can expect a good mix of nationalities and cultures, giving their child a headstart in understanding a globalised world.
The children’s house at Mont Kiara has its own dedicated parking so parents can park and wait for their children if need be. The pick-up and drop-off area is also safely within the compound, so parents have peace of mind in the morning and evenings then everything has been planned out meticulously with the child’s security in mind. Security guards man the compound 24/7, with visitors having to show ID and register before being allowed to enter the premises.
Experience a Montessori learning environment for your preschoolers
In the Montessori method of teaching, children are given the freedom to select the material they want to work with. The uninterrupted work periods in the preschool ensure that the choice of the child is respected, creating a positive learning environment. Since children are given an extended period of activity without interruption, they learn to discover their interest and progress naturally. Dr Maria Montessori believed that young children have the incredible power to absorb information from the world around them.
With more than 30 years of experience in early childhood education and success stories of children all across Malaysia, The children’s house has gained trust and recognition of both Malaysian and expatriate parents. From humble beginnings in a quiet and leafy part of Damansara heights to preschools at twelve locations in Penang and Klang Valley, The children’s house continues to adhere to the Montessori method of education developed by Dr Maria Montessori.
The didactic materials were developed by Dr Montessori through years of extensive research culminating in a scientific pedagogy supported by carefully designed teaching materials.
The materials in the preschool include sensory play materials that are multi-sensory, sequential and self-correcting in nature. These materials are vital to refining the (auditory, tactile, visual, stereognostic, gustatory, chromatic and the sense of temperature) senses of the child.
Montessori Curriculum Gives Children a Chance to Shine
The preschool curriculum also includes activities like spooning, pouring and transferring which develops the practical skills like concentration, coordination of movement, balance, and above all fosters a sense of independence.
The language materials are designed in a way to help the child get a grasp of the writing instrument and be able to form the letters easily. In the same way, the phonetic sounds enable the children to understand the words by identifying the sounds. The regular practice of the techniques at the nursery helps the child to read and speak simple words which eventually take the form of sentences.
The preschool materials related to number work help the child understand mathematical concepts like numbers, counting, matching moving on the basics of more complex concepts like zero, odd, even, addition, subtraction and more.
The learning materials are coupled with nature walks and talks, projects and cultural activities at the preschool. Every programme is focused on preparing the child for the next level. The Montessori curriculum gives your child the best combination of play-based and academic based curriculum and the use of self-correcting materials allows the child to learn at their own unique pace.
At The children’s house Mont Kiara, we are completely dedicated to providing the best learning environment for your child. Children are encouraged to become accomplished readers and writers, with mathematical, problem-solving skills and creative thinking.
We invite you to join the beautiful journey of your child’s learning process and celebrate and every step of seeing your child develop into a compassionate, confident, well-balanced and socially responsible individual.
